Jackson Pollack once finished a work and asked his wife if this was a painting. He did not ask her if this was art! This brings to mind just how complex the word "art" is and suggests that the meaning is not only elusive, but may not even exist in a concrete form. There are as many definitions as there are artists. In my quest, I have spent my life pursuing the meaning of this word.
